Azerbaijan exported 1950.5 tons of cotton in the first nine months

In January-September 2010, Azerbaijan exported 1,950.5 tons of cotton, and the export value reached 2,302,400 U.S. dollars, the Azerbaijan National Tariff Commission reported.

The National Tariff Commission of Azerbaijan said: "According to the net estimate, the export of cotton has fallen by 86.5% compared to 2009.

In September, after three months of interruption, Pakistan’s cotton exports resumed and in June, July and August, Azerbaijan did not export cotton.

Azerbaijan’s cotton exports accounted for 0.01% of total exports, compared with 0.02% at the end of August, 0.03% at the end of May, and 0.04% at the end of April.

In 2009, Azerbaijan exported 137.716 million tons of cotton, exports reached 17.35.85 million US dollars, exports increased by 19.27% ​​year-on-year.
