The survey found that nearly 40% of teenagers said they often feel tired during class hours, but only 10% said they value sleep at night.

The British Sleep Committee said that computers, televisions and MP3 players in the bedroom made the problem of "garbage sleep" worse. Edzkoski said: "Youth should develop a healthy lifestyle, including healthy sleep and healthy food. The method is simple: turn off the appliance and go to bed early."
