Sales of counterfeited branded garments from a well-known brand in Zhuzhou

Recently, Guo Mou was arrested by the Lusong District Procuratorate of Zhuzhou City on suspicion of selling goods bearing counterfeit trademarks. The 38-year-old suspect, Guo Mou, hails from Yiyang City. Since 2007, she and her husband ran a clothing business at the China City market in Lusong District, Zhuzhou. However, due to declining sales, the couple turned to selling fake Nike, Adidas, and Li Ning products in March 2010. They sourced their goods from a supplier in Fujian and sold them across cities such as Changsha, Changde, and Loudi. During a police raid, authorities seized 2,439 counterfeit garments. The case has raised concerns about the prevalence of counterfeit goods in local markets and the need for stricter enforcement of intellectual property rights. Guo Mou is now under investigation, and further legal actions are expected to follow.
