The seal is a combination of engraved material and engraved art. To distinguish the collection value of ancient seals, we mainly look at the types of jade carvings and the engraving techniques of seals.

Among the ancient jade seals, the most collectible material is engraved with the name "Chinese Four Stones" Tian Huangshi, Bloodstone, Qingtian Stone and Aiye Green. Tian Huangshi is produced in Fuzhou, Fujian, and the other three are produced in Zhejiang: the bloodstone is produced in Changhua, Zhejiang, and the Qingtian stone is produced in Qingtian, Zhejiang. Aiye Green is not only produced in Zhejiang, but also in Fujian and Liaoning. Among them: Tian Huangshi color is beautiful, and it is called “Stone Emperor”; the bloodstone stone is fine and the blood color is red and red. The engraving technique of the ancient jade seal has a long history. Since the Ming Dynasty, there have been many schools of printing and learning, mainly including eight major schools: one is the Wenhe School, which is represented by the Ming Dynasty Wen Peng and He Zhen; the second is the Yi School, which was created by the famous celebrity He Zhen; the third is the Lishui School. In the Ming Dynasty, Su Xuan was created; the fourth is the Jidong School, which was named after Wang Guan in the late Ming Dynasty and lived in Jidong; the fifth is the Ruan School, created by the Yellow Emperor of the Qing Dynasty; the sixth is the Lin School, which was created by the Qing Dynasty. Seven is Deng faction, created by Deng Shiru in the Qing Dynasty; eight is the West Cold Eight, referring to Hangzhou people Ding Jing, Jiang Ren, Yan Gang, Huang Yi, Chen Hongshou, Chen Yuzhong, Zhao Zhizhen, Qian Song eight people. In addition, there are two major schools in modern times: one is the Wu faction, which was created by Wu Changshuo; the other is the Beijing School, represented by Qi Baishi, who has lived in Beijing for a long time. The seal engraving techniques of these genres reached their peak at the time.

The ancient jade seal, if it is made of famous stone and carved by celebrities, is even more expensive, and the longer it is, the higher the value of the collection.
