International Environmental Textile Association Annual Meeting Held in New Delhi, India

On November 23, Oeko-Tex held its 2011 conference in Delhi, India. The general managers from 15 member institutions participated in the annual meeting. The central theme of the annual meeting mainly revolves around three aspects: the determination of the 2012 version of the Oeko-Tex Standard Standard 100; the internal unification of quality management measures among 15 member institutions, such as the testing level and the quality inspection of certified products; as a registered trademark. According to TESTEX (Beijing) Textile Testing & Testing Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of TESTEX, one of the major members of the International Environmental Textile Association, the annual meeting has discussed and analyzed the on-site auditing and implementation since 2010. According to Haug, secretary general of the International Environmental Textile Association, since April of last year, in order to enable certified companies to manage according to the requirements of Oeko-Tex100 in terms of quality control, the member institutions of the association conducted an on-site audit of more than 2,000 certified companies during the certification process. In this way, technical support for quality management is provided. Haug pointed out: "When we conduct on-site audits, we can face up to the company's quality management personnel to clarify the problems in the production process, thereby helping companies to obtain the largest input-output ratio in the Oeko-Tex100 certification, that is, the greatest economic benefits. At the annual meeting, all participants expressed satisfaction with the results achieved by the organization's on-site auditing mechanism and agreed to continue to implement the supervision mechanism for global certified companies.

The annual meeting proposes that the proportion of annual quality checks of certified products in the world will be adjusted, and the minimum sampling rate for the current total of 15% of the issued certificates shall be increased to 20% of the total number of certificates. The cost of the products being sampled at the retail end will be borne by the International Environmental Textile Association. It is understood that in recent years, the proportion of spot checks conducted by various certification bodies on products certified by eco-textiles worldwide has been increasing year by year, and the actual spot-checking ratio has reached 18% of the total number of certified certificates.

In addition to agreeing on the above verification mechanism, the annual meeting also passed a supplementary document that allows Oeko-Tex100 certification to be applied to certain special products (such as tents, baby carriages, office chairs, backpacks, etc.) while meeting special requirements. .

According to another report, the 2012 Oeko-Tex test and the limited value will be announced in January 2012.
