It's finally happening! After hearing your feedback loud and clear, we're thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting a Liesl + Co. Hollywood Trousers sew-along from October 22nd to October 24th. We hope you'll join us for what promises to be an exciting weekend of sewing and community building!

About the Hollywood Trousers
The Liesl + Co. Hollywood Trousers are designed to give you that timeless, classic look reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. These trousers feature a moderately high waist, a wide-leg cut, and a traditional zipper fly with a fly shield for a polished finish. The back darts provide a tailored fit, while the optional front pockets include menswear-inspired pocket stays for a sleek, gap-free appearance. You can choose to add a lining, which not only enhances comfort but also improves the overall structure of the garment. The inseam has been adjusted slightly forward for a more flattering fit, ensuring these trousers are perfect for any occasion.
Fabric Suggestions
For the trousers themselves, consider using lightweight wools such as wool suiting, tropical wool, or wool crepe. Twills, fine-wale corduroy, and drapey canvas are also great options. If you opt for a lining, cotton lawn, rayon lining (such as cupro or Bemberg), or China silk work beautifully.
Schedule for the Hollywood Trousers Sew-Along
Day 1: Get started by cutting your fabric and sewing the front pockets and zipper fly. Day 2: Focus on the back darts, assembling the trousers, and attaching the lining. Day 3: Complete the waistband and finish up your trousers with final touches.
