The "Tamil Ruby" of King Elizabeth II was worn on June 2, 1953 when he was crowned.

The giant red stone inlaid on the necklace of Tamil ruby is red spinel. The largest one in the middle is 352.5 carats, the famous Tamil ruby. It is now owned by King Elizabeth II.

Elizabeth II began to represent various occasions on behalf of King George VI in 1951. On February 6, 1952, the King died, and Elizabeth II succeeded to the throne.

When Isfahan was in chaos, a nobleman, Afhan Amasi Abedel, attempted to take the throne and failed, so he robbed a group of jewels and led the army to the city of Kandahar and ruled Afghanistan. Among the treasures he brought, there were "Keinol" diamonds and Tamil rubies. Afterwards, the king who inherited the throne moved to Kabul from Kandahar and finally moved to Lahore (now in India). These treasures were kept in Lahore until 1849.
