3. When the moisture wicking fabric is soft-treated, it is not suitable to use hydrophobic species, otherwise it will affect the wicking effect of the fabric, resulting in lower moisture wicking function. After the purely spun and blended fabrics are finished by the moisture wicking agent, Moisture absorption and perspiration are excellent, and it is better to use a durable variety.


4. The newly introduced moisture wicking agent is mainly a water-dispersible polyester-based compound. The origin of this auxiliant development can be traced back to the first time in the 60s and 70s of the last century by the British ICl company. To the market Permalose, where Permalose-T is used for polyester fabrics, Permalose-TG is used for polyester-cotton blended fabrics.

The water-dispersible polyester is a block copolymer of terephthalic acid (ethylene glycol) and polyethylene oxide. The apparent molecular weight of the block copolymer, the melting point is about 50-60°C, and it is easily dispersed in water and dispersed. Body, when the concentration is high, it is gelatinous. The molecular structure of the water-dispersed block copolymer has a benzene ring with the same molecular structure as that of the polyester, and the molecular chain segment is anchored to the surface of the polyester at a high temperature, so that the polyester from the original hydrophobic surface becomes a durable aqueous surface.


The application method of water-dispersible intercalated copolymers includes roll roasting process and high-temperature impregnation process. The former needs heat treatment at 160°C-170°C for 3-5 min, the latter heat treatment at 130°C for 30 min, and the amount of application on the fabric (with effective activity). The ingredient count is about 1-1.5%, and the treatment effect is better with high temperature impregnation process and the effect is stable. After moisture wicking and finishing, in addition to significantly improve the function of moisture absorption and perspiration, there are still antistatic and easy decontamination effects.
